This was one of the standard texts in the USA, and indeed the rest of the world, during the sixties. In concept, it followed on from the authors Introduction to Skin Diving. Although I cannot compare the two books (not having a copy of the latter), it appears that the word "advanced" is a bit ambitious as it does cover the basic of diving -equipment, physiology, medicine,techniques, sperfishing, deco tables. Of high historic value due mainly to its popularity at he time and the credibility of the author. (Sorry about the poor quality of the cover, buts thats all I have.)
